Customs: Russia’s wheat exports rise 11% to 7.3 mln tns Jan–Mar
MOSCOW, May 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat exports rise by 11% on the year to 7.336 million tonnes worth U.S. $1.497 billion, a 1.9% increase, in January–March, the Federal Customs Service said on Wednesday.
Russia’s wheat imports fell by 36.8% to 36,400 tonnes worth $11.4 million.
Sunflower oil exports grew by 35.9% in the period to 1.008 million tonnes worth $707.5 million, a 35.2% increase.
Corn imports rose 19.3% on the year to 26,200 tonnes and barley imports grew 10.6% to 6,400 tonnes, while sunflower oil imports dropped 77.1% to 200,000 tonnes in January–March.
